I'll Say It

As an Independent who leans Republican; Obama brought the house down. The hopelessness we all feel may stand a chance. There. I said it.

On another note, rumor has it that my own Govenor Sara Palin will be McCains running mate:

Republican source confirms that John McCain has chosen Alaska Governor Sarah Palin to be his running mate. Campaign officials, however, remain mum this morning.

McCain is expected to announce his choice at a rally in Dayton later.

Palin is the first woman governor of Alaska, elected in 2006. She was also the youngest ever elected at the age of 42. She is the mother of five children, the youngest of whom was born in April and has Down's Syndrome. She ran on a clean government platform in '06 to defeat the incumbent Republican Governor Frank Murkowski.

You are correct.

I bet you feel better now. I agree, that was an amazing speech.

I was glued to the TV while he made that speech (and I taped it, too, 'cause this is history in the making). That was probably the most amazing speech I've heard in a very long time. What a speaker! :)

It's obvious that he meant every word of it. It didn't sound as though he had been spoon fed what to say or how to say it. It was such a moving speech. It increased my confidence in him as a leader more than ever. His plans sound great; attainable and fair.

I agree. For the first time in a very long time I don't feel like we're all doomed. :)

I think this election will be a competition between Strategy and Truth - and who cares more for the people of this country. We'll just have to wait and see. We'll just have to watch how they work under pressure, as well as how they fall and recover. We're gonna need someone really strong who won't fall apart under pressure.

May the most honest and sincere man win! :)

Like many of you here, I think of elections as very serious business. I ultimately make my decisions based on who I agree with the most and who I feel can do the job the best.

Even though I have my choice, one of the things I feel that I can say about about BOTH men is that I think they're utterly sincere and have the desire to do good things for our country.

I was GLUED to the tv as he spoke. He seemed so like JFK (whom I met when I was a kid).

He has class, charm and whether he makes it in or not, well, let's hope SOME CHANGE IS A COMIN. The economy sure needs a good swift kick.

And whoever wins, well, they will make history now won't they?
