Had MP for 5 years
Got Mp "out of the blue in 2001. It was really bad at first - shocks, couldn't evewn touch it with sheet, etc. You all know the symptoms. The worst for me was that it has significantly imparied my walking. As soon as I walk even for 15 mnutes - it goes wild. I can only stroll - slowly -not walk steadily. The shocks, etc. come and go and have improved - but it does get aggravated by driving, walking, etc. I really has made me lose my indpendendce. I haven't been able to walk my dog for 5 years or even go shopping in a mall. If yours is really bad I'd get a handicapped sign. I have one and it is so helpful. Then I use the driving carts in the stores.
I took numerous drugs and had injections - no help. Good luck to anyone with this dreaded MP Sydney |

Thanks for sharing. I appreciate your helpful information. Having a handicap parking place is a great help and carts in stores to ride. I hope you can get some type of relief too. The sensitivity to touch is my biggest problem at the present with MP. I have been told the meds in time need to be increased in order to work. I have the pain at a level I can cope most times, except for the sensitivity of touch. I have stenosis and it causes me to sit down after standing or walking. Sometimes it is better than others, like our MP that can vary too. I am thankful for everyone here who shares like you have. It helps a great deal to talk to people who understand what we are going through. I am always amazed at the good information we share and access here on Neuro Talk Communities. Take Care and thanks for taking your time to reply. |
