TBI and relationships

is it just me or is it hard to hold together a relationship with a partner when you've got TBI? like they gotta be willing to tolerate amnesia, depression, seeing you in pain, fatigue etc...IDK maybe it's just me who ain't worth the trouble?

I am lucky but it has been a bit rocky, my partner now understands much more about this I look ok so for others its hard to understand. I get moody when in pain and a bit angry with myself when I lose sequence of things, but I try to be fun, from your other posts you have been treated badly and unfairly I hope your  heals a Little each day

thank you vini. i agree it is hard for folks to realize anything is wrong when we look fine. and i too get very frustrated with myself when i lose sequence of things or can't remember something i just know i should be able to remember.

i am trying to be more positive about things and it's getting a bit easier now i come to neurotalk. it helps knowing other folks have the same problems, and the advice and information here is invaluable to me as i'm the only tbi person my care team handle.

i must admit i am lucky to live in a close-knit community and have very loving friends here...maybe i just get involved with all the wrong men.

thanx again for your encouragement and support, it means much. roz
