Lyrica

I started taking Lyrica about almost 4 wks ago.Well I have not noticed a differance at all. I had such a horrible night last night and still having a bad morning because of the pain I am taking 225 at bed time suppose to go up every week until I reach 300. Should I have at least noticed some differance or is it still to soon. I hate feeling like I stepped on a porcupine and my legs hurting me so bad. Its getting frustrating.Any help greatly appreciated.Hugs to all.:grouphug:

Maybe someone can post a positive experience with Lyrica. My neuro sent my GP a suggestion that she prescribe it should I need it.

My GP's take on Lyrica was, "I have not heard many people respond favorably to it".

Have you tried other types of medication as well in the past?

it helped me a little, wasnt overly impressed with it, hope you find some relief soon, and start to feel better

I tired lyrica for the very same type of symptoms. It did not help much and made me more tired then my usual fatigued self. I now take cymbalta and that has helped a lot.

OK, negative reaction to Lyrica here, too! I took it when it was relatively new and it made me feel loopy. (no comment there) It felt like I wasn't in my own body.

I think there have been some members that have had good reactions to it, though, so hopefully they will see this.

i was on neurontin and at the max dose. it wasn't helping.
so i switched to lyrica (of course more expensive). i've been on it for awhile and my pain is tolerable. sometimes worse than others. my feet are the worst.

however, i take 150mg four times a day.
perhaps spacing out the dose thru the day will help more.
just a thought. ask your dr.

I think Lyrica is the drug my sister is on for her Fibromyalgia and it has worked wonders for her. And yes, it is expensive.

My reactions to Lyrica were weight gain and sleepiness. Not good. IMHO
