TBI/PCS & Napping

IM going to post my full story pretty soon I just dont have the patience to type up the last 21 months of my life right now lol

The only symptom that I havent read about on this forum is people having a problem when they wake up from a nap.... Towards the beginning of my issues Id constantly be fatigued through the day, mentally and physically so Id essentially have to take a nap. Literally my eyes were watering and closing themselves on me with little to no control.

So id nap and figure well if my body wants to sleep it must be trying to repair itself or whatever... as soon as Id wake up, generally 1-2hrs later id be so EXTREMELY groggy and irritable that I could barely communicate with anyone. ID be miserable and even more awkward than before the nap...

The length of the nap seemed to make a small difference, but as soon as id fall asleep and wake up again id be in that state....

Did anyone else ever come across anything like this?

Thanks :)
Mikeyy

I too noticed coffee making a bit of difference a couple of weeks ago, I dont really want to todrink it but I guess if it makes me feel better, even temporarily thats a good start! LOL

As for you having to lay down 4-5 times a day im very sorry to hear that I hope it gets better for you! I was struggling with 1 nap a day I cant imagine how tough it must be for you

Thank you for the encouraging words and yes the Tinnitus is a big pain in the ars,. funny thing about it is ive only had it for about 7 months.. didnt have it for the first 14

no leaks that im aware of yet...
Ive had several concussions,... about 12 is what im thinking, thats only 1 that I blacked out on.... the most recent that im aware of was Dec 28 2006, on dec 31 2006 I took a flight to mexico and went to bed

when I awoke the symptoms started and have persisted since :( Had I have known I had a concussion or that flying with a concussion would do this to me I would definately not have flown, but I had no idea
