Vitamins and multiple sclerosis
Any suggestions for supplements/vitamins/minerals for people with multiple sclerosis?
|
I am not an expert on MS...
but from what I have read in studies the most commonly used
and referred to product is B12. In fact in Japan they had studies treating MS with it, in very high doses. If you check some of the MS websites there is usually some mention of B12 supplementation. Also for spasticity, magnesium is very helpful. I have a magnesium thread on our Vitamin forum. http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/thread1138.html this is a pretty good website: http://www.nhfw.info/multiple-sclerosis.html I have read that to improve myelination of nerves you need: B12 B6 folate Omega-3 fatty acids |
