"Makes Me Realise"

Makes Me Realise

It makes me realise,
There are people worse off than me,
With bigger problems,
Difficulties so easy to see.

It makes me realise,
There are people who are so poor,
They have nothing,
Struggling to find a little more.

It makes me realise,
There are people in a bad place,
Cruel circumstances,
Being robbed of dignity and grace.

It makes me realise,
There are people in much more pain,
Chronic conditions,
But the suffering will always remain…

thank you so much for this beautiful reminder...

I was feeling a bit perturbed today when I was teased...and then, I thought about this poem and the folks here at NT...
