broke my cell phone

got out of the car this morning to go into the pharmacy and my cell phone went flying across the parking lot! Yup, broke.... grrrrrrr

after spending over an hour at the wireless store - I have a loaner until my replacement comes in.

left, got onto the highway - picked up the replacement to call David and tell him, no service - the bimbo forgot to call and activate my phone after all that!!!! had to drive back to the store....... and ended up with a different phone cause that one wouldn't activate!

Jeez, what fun.... NOT!

I use mine maybe once a month, but still, can't live without it. :o

Hope the replacement gets there soon.

I'd be the same way, Char! I feel lost if I forget my cell phone. What have we become??? How did we ever get by w/o those lil things. Glad you got reconnected to the world.

hugs to you, my friend. ooops, gotta run, my cellphone is ringing!! *grin*

Well, carp! Cell phone or hell phone?!?

Let me cheer you up with a true story, *boosting lambchop onto my knee*

In June of 2004, some old friends and I had a reunion after 25 years without seeing one another. We were in San Francisco having the time of our lives. Piddle (different story), the native in our group, was driving us up and down the fabled hills when we decided to stop and roam around near Lombard Street. Understand that these are some seriously treacherous hills and I was really trying to get out of this tour because I was using a manual wheelchair and my friends are clueless about the perils I was facing.

I was silently praying for a way to get out of this...

Piddle, who had left her phone between her legs while driving, hopped out of the car and her phone hopped right into a sewer grate! We spent a couple hours (after her initial tirade) trying to fish it out to no avail. Just for fun, I called her up and it rang! :D She was not amused, but I left her a voicemail just the same.

So, the moral of the story is, I was saved that day by God's own version of call-waiting. ;)

Char - Glad you got it temporarily worked out.

Here is another good one . . .keep in mind too that DD18 is blonde.

She dropped her cell phone in the toilet and of course being a teen was beside herself as she would be without until she got a new one. Her dad bought her a new one which she had for less than a week, and in to the toilet that one went.

I couldn't figure out how she was dropping these things in the toilet and why she would even bring a phone with her in the bathroom (it's kind of a private area, you know). Well, she explained it to me. She keeps her cell phone in her back pocket and when she was pulling her pants down/up the phone went in the toilet.

Now, her dad (she's on his plan, thank God) bought her another phone. This time her dad got smart and put insurance on this phone.

Well, she had that one for 1 week and she was holding it in her hand and jumped in the pool. She was afraid to tell her dad about it and went to put it in the microwave to see if it would dry out.:eek::eek: Good thing I caught her.

It took her 3 times to realize that cell phones and water don't mix and 1 time of me telling her (1/2 laughing) that you can't put metal in the microwave and cell phones do have metal in them.
