If you're curious about "powerless" Ohio :)

Here's a link to one of our local TV stations. As you can tell, the only news right now is how many of us are still without power and pictures and video of the storm damage. We're still without power and I'm betting Sally is as well. Hopefully my fellow Ohioans will get their power back soon - enough is enough. |
Wow! We didn't get that kind of storm in the Toledo area. I'd heard only a snip of this - maybe Monday's paper? - so I guess you could say I'm in clueless Ohio. The news coverage leaves something to be desired around here. Thanks for the post.
hope those folks get things set right soon. |
Oh my gosh~ I saw Ohio's devastation on the news and couldn't believe it. I feel so bad for you all. Take care and thanks for the update, as I have been worried about everyone in the path of that nasty weather.
Stay safe and well our fellow OHIO members. |
Thanks so much for the info!
DS and family are in Conesville, Ohio but he has to drive to Mount Vernon to work which is a ways off and made the trip for nothing one afternoon as they had no power including phones to call in. With gas so high he was a bit disgusted but got home to a house with electricity so told me that changed his attitude. You never appreciate the water 'till the well goes dry! |
That's nuts! :(
Keep warm y'all. The weather's getting colder by the day. :grouphug: |
Does anyone else wonder why the local news is broadcasting to no audience? ;)
It really does stink, hope you all can stay safe and get past this unscathed. C'mon, power! |
LOL AMN! That's as funny as the boil advisory for water they have for some of our cities. Um, how the hell can you boil your water if you have no power? :D

It's been weird. One of our friends didn't lose power at all, we got power back Monday night, and one of our other friends probably won't get it back until this weekend! :( We still haven't heard the status of another couple we know, and I'm hoping they are ok.
We've been helping out our friends with no power as best we can. At least the temps have been mild, of which I'm really thankful for. Sunday night, we were thankful we had a gas stove. Had to remember how to light it by hand, but got one of our leftovers in the fridge reheated. Used a french press to make coffee monday morning, and realized to our horror that we no longer had a manual can open when I went to make lunch. So we had to settle for PB&J, LOL. It's on the list of things to get, along with a battery back up to our sump pump and a possible small generator for things like the fridge and freezer. This is the third time we've lost power for about 24 hours, so at least we had tons of batteries and flashlights on hand. Hoping everyone pulls through this ok.:hug: |
well I sure hope things get back to normal, hope sally is ok, sally
Fin we found that out last outage too and i still need to pick one up |
I want MSCherokee to get her power back so she can play Dark Age of Camelot again! (turns out we both play this, I recognized the avatar as a player model from the game) :p
