They do matter, :grouphug:.

I think they have to work twice as hard to become a productive adult.
And unfortunately some aren't able to overcome what they grew up with and repeat history. That's a sad legacy to pass on.

((((((((Jo))))))))))) one thing i never done was pass the legacy on to my kids or any kids...they don't deserve it!!! i have never shown kids anything but love coz i know how the opposite feels. you assume i do? :Bawling::Bawling::Bawling:

what do i gotta do to prove i don't do evil or bad just coz i was born bad? :( :( :(

Jomar 09-24-2008 12:52 AM

No - I didn't mean you at all :grouphug:

I meant people in general - some overcome a bad childhood and some don't.
Same goes for those with a normal childhood - some become bad and some don't.

I don't think anyone is born bad either.
Did someone tell you you were bad all the time as a child?

yes Jo....someone did...my father and his cult friends...genuinely sorry i misunderstood what you meant. apart from not being educated or clever, English is not my first language and I take it literally...sorry I misunderstood.

I have a very good friend who's father was in a cult. They mistreated and abused her all the time, too, and it's had a devastating impact on her life. Even now, in her mid-forties, she's trying to put her life in perspective because of it. I really feel for, CJ. You have an awful burden to bear.
