words don't mean a thing
they're easy said, easy broken

...it's quite a painful thing

Knowing that...

love don't mean a thing
it's easy given, easy taken

...it's quite a painful thing

and i sometimes wonder why i bother
even having faith these days
it's seems more painful than it's worth
when my eyes see thru the haze

the haze of tears, the haze of pain
that trusting others brings
and words of love no longer matter
yet it's quite a painful thing
