Magnetic Shoe Inserts
 

Has anyone used magnets of any type in shoes or on feet - and if so,
with what results?

Hi,

My room mate is a true believer in the healing powers of Magnets. I am still not convinced. She gave me a set of Magnetic Shoe Inserts. I wore them in my shoes (Skechers) for three months. I took out the manufacturers inserts, put in the magnets, then replaced the manufacturers inserts.

I really did not like them. My feet felt heavy and tired a lot.
I don't know if it was because they took up more room in the shoe, or if they detracted from the "softness" of the shoe, or if it was because they were magnetic.

I just took them out a few days ago and wow, what a difference. Those shoes feel so much more comfortable.

I am not yet convinced magnets can heal PN, but I do believe they are good for some things.

of the magnets in shoe inserts is very low. I tried them long ago, with no results.

However, strong neodymium magnets (you only need one per foot) do work for pain. I never used them on the bottoms of the feet, but instead near the ankle where the nerves enter the foot.

I agree with Mrs D, the magnetic shoe inserts that i have checked out were terribly weak, they appeared to be good when reading about them but once i got to the shop and tested them they were really useless.
I put some powerfull neodymium magnets on the tops of my feet and they worked for me.

I tried the shoe inserts by Nikon (supposed to be a good co., my wife uses the one for her back, for inoperable polyps on her spine - and 'swears' by it) but they were hard and heavy, and made my feet feel worse.
