Something strange is going on

Yesterday was a bad cog fog day for me. I felt good but my brain just wouldn't cooperate.....had trouble with words, typing and speaking...as though I have dsylexia (which I don't) and my memory sucked big time.

So the night goes on, nothing unusual...until time to go to sleep. We're laying there talking about the day, different things when all of a sudden my mind goes into this Name That Tune mode. LOL It's hard to explain but it was funny as hedoublehockeysticks! Whenever dh would say something a certain word would trigger a song in my head...and I'd start singing the song! LOL I have no idea where this came from or why! Songs I haven't even thought of in years. He was talking about the a/c and said how hot is is...I go into a (terrible) rendition of Hot Child In The City! This kept on for about half an hour! He'd say something and I'd take a word and start singing a song with that word in the title. We were laughing so hard and dh kept asking what was I smoking or what kind of pills did I take! (I wasn't smoking anything and didn't take any pills other than the normal ones)

It was as though someone else had taken over my mind! Thankfully it was too funny for dh to get mad at me for keeping him awake. LOL

Finally we go to sleep and I slept better than I have in a long time....woke up at 5am feeling pretty darn good!

There's no full moon is there?

I haven't been singing songs...but I definitely have been hearing the wrong word in some instances...not good ones either. lol

I was listening to a news program and I know it wasn't the word they said I heard...it was the firetruck word I heard. This has been happening quite a bit for the past several weeks.

My hearing is fine...I can hear noises certain people can't...so maybe that's it. lol

I'm all the time hearing words that weren't the ones said as well as reading ones that aren't there LOL

With dh wearing 2 hearing aids because he's otherwise deaf, conversations around here can be strange to say the least! :D

I love Hot Child in the City! Thanks for reminding me of that song. I am now caught up in remembering old songs. Crazy on You, Hello It's me, My Sweet Lord, The Strut, Free For All, Barracuda, Two Outta Three Aint Bad, Take the Long Way Home, Brandy, September, Afternoon Delight, 50 Ways to Leave Your Lover.

See what you started? lol

In the summer when we're out of contact with the human race - I start to hum and sing every song I ever heard - every commercial - every nursery rhyme - then they stick in your head and even while I'm sleeping I'm singing the stupid things in my dreams - you do just get sucked into that one train of thought - or maybe it isn't thought - just nonsense -

Does anyone remember:

Dandy!! Do you love me?
Are you thinking of me?
Dandy! Can you ear me?
Are you somewhere near me?

This gets stuck in my head sometimes, but just these two lines.

SuzyQ,

It truly is in the air! I've been subbing in the same classroom this week and I had to actually check the sky last night to see if it was a full moon! And it isn't!!! So much happened in the class on Monday, I couldn't even begin to tell you it all!!! LOL
