Head Shakes

Four months ago, my head began shaking side-to-side. I talked to my neurologist about it, he assured me it wasn't Parkinson's (that hadn't even crossed my mind--until then). He said if it gets bad enough to bother me, he can give me medicine for it.

Does anyone else have that problem? If so, do you take medicine for it? I already take Betaseron, Neurontin and Baclofen, plus vitamins and supplements, and I honestly don't know if I want to start yet another medication.

The shaking is getting slowly worse, though. Thanks.

When I had a bad flare in the spring that happened to me. It did go away, but I also did a round of steriods. That was the only time it happened to me. Hopefully you will stop the shakes soon without meds!

I had this!! It was so weird. Happened in 2003. And it happened that the guy administering the neuropsych testing saw it too.

Finally went away. It was REALLY strange. It got worse for a while and then disappeared.

I called it my "Parkinsonian head shake" and my neuro didn't practice it but did the "You're outta your mind head shake" instead.

I was on 2400 mg of Neurontin and 30 mg of Baclofen. Nothing stopped it.

Gazelle: I never thought about it going away by itself. Thanks--you have given me hope.

GG: Do you think the steroids had anything to do with the shaking going away?I would definitely do a round of steroids if my neuro thought it would help. I have an appointment in November and I will ask him about it. Thanks!
