Please say a prayer for me and my husband
 

We will be talking to my FIL to day trying to explain to him why he is going to have to move out of his apartment and into an assisted living place.. He has had some serious health issues in the past and he has not recuperated to the point of being able to go back to independent living.
He has been in rehab for the past month trying to get his strength back up to where it should be.. He thinks hes being released on Saturday which WAS the plan, but now he is having to stay 2 more weeks and then released to assisted living.
We are going today to look at the facilities then tomorrow we'll take him to look at them... this is not going to be an easy transition. Its been a big blow to my husband knowing his fathers health is failing...

Sorry to hear his health is not better...but he might enjoy where he goes...he will surely make new friends and have people that will take good care of him.

My next door neighbor just moved into one...she loves it...she was alone all day...now she has people to talk with and visit with...hopefully he will also.

Asking the Lord to find him a special place with a special friend.

Oh, FG, I will certainly pray for all of you! I feel so bad that your FIL must face this disappointment, and that you and your husband must break it to him. I hope that in just a few more weeks things will work out well for you all, and that God will grace you with His great generosity.

Thank you.... things went better than what i was expecting... of course he didn't understand why the doctor says he needs to go into assisted living.:(
I do agree with the doctors diagnosis.... Rick and i found 2 places that we think he will like... and one of them has people that he knows from the independent living place. We are taking him on Monday to look at both places we found. It will be a big adjustment, but i truly think once he gets to a place that has HIS bed and HIS couch and HIS recliner in it, then it will feel more like home. once we make the final decision, i guess Rick, the kids and myself will start packing his things and moving him in. Thanks again for your prayers..
