Pain in feet
Hi
I am new to this site and have a question I hope someone can give me some information. My doctor did an MRI of my lower back because I was complaining of pain, very bad pain in both of my feet, especially after I get up from resting i.e. laying on the couch, after sleeping, driving etc. The pain is so bad sometimes I can barely walk. Once I get going the pain subsides to a point. When the MRI results came back he said I have a problem with my S1 and S2 disc in my back. Has anyone heard of this? Any response would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, gabbycakes |
Do they think these disks are causing the problems in your feet? The way
you are describing your pain sounds a bit like PF. I have had terrible pain in my feet for about 6 years now so this stuff is right up my alley, so to say. Good luck with this.:) |
Thanks
Thanks so much replying but what is "PF"

Im sorry.......Plantar fascitis(sp?). They are not sure if I have a
really bad case of PF or if its fibro or ms pain.. Believe me, Ive tried every treatment out there and am seriously considering a spinal implant(cant remember the name right now, its in my notes). Good luck. |
I think it is Planter Fasciitis .

hi gabby,
after my l4/5 fusion, the bottoms of my feet were horribly painful. I would tell my hubs that i needed sponges for my feet. Like you, it went away after i got moving. It doesn't happen so much any more. But the docs never really had a good answer as to why it happened. The neuro didn't think it was anything with the fusion. Sorry i am not much help, but i will be looking at this thread to see if we both can find an answer. sims |
Pain in feet
Thanks all for responding,
My feet are getting so bad I truly don't know what to do. I see my doctor in mid November. I am afraid he will want to do another epidural which I hate but it did relieve the pain the first time I had one but the 2 after that didn't work and so I hesitate to do it again. Any suggestions? I had a an epidural in my back for foot pain once. It did absolutely nothing.:(
I did have a reaction to the shot in my back though. I actually wore a cast at least three times. The last one was worn 2 months. I did notice a slight difference but when I started walking it was right back. I also tried a steroid injection in the bottom of my foot. The injection was the most pain I have ever indured(and Ive given birth 4 times), I threw up immediately from pain. My foot has been worse since, I have a permanent numb spot at ;the injection site.:( I dont recommend an injection. Other things I have tried: pt, night splints, custiom orthodics(180 dollars:(). all kinds of shoes(I mainly wear slippers), a zillion meds, a zillion opinions bone scans, xrays, and mri etc. I am on a mix of meds that seem to take the edge off. But it definately effects my quallity of life. I hope you get the help you need. |
