Wow!

Find me cheap ticket from New Brunswick, Canada to Florida please! :)

CayoKay 10-26-2008 04:15 PM

yes, people have been discussing the el cheapo AA flights on several Belize boards.

one guy got tickets for his whole family of 5, for under $600, all fees and taxes included.

but others haven't been so lucky, as these AMAZING deals are only from certain cities.

oh, and River?

I thought of YOU the other day, when I saw THIS headline in our local paper:

Rivers Running Wild…

Posted: 21/10/2008 - 12:21 PM - Author: Adele Ramos

Belize is experiencing its second catastrophic and record-breaking flood event in just four months, and even though it was not as deadly as Tropical Storm Arthur, Tropical Depression #16 has affected three towns and several villages along the Mopan and Macal Rivers in Cayo, devastating agricultural fields, submerging several miles of highway, forcing mass evacuations, and severing the most populous part of Cayo from the rest of Belize.

I was sort of bummed to only find one ad in the classifieds for land. I was hoping to find all kinds of deals!

Thanks for the news from your end of the landmass!

hmmmm ... 60 bucks round trip thats 120.00 for frank and i ... hey kay ... do we need passports to come there???

CayoKay 10-26-2008 04:49 PM

yes, passports are necessary.

and due to the new rules, passports are taking a LONG time to process and receive.

:(

anyone thinking of heading thisaway better WAIT until things dry out...

at the moment, we are a disaster area with all the massive flooding.

:Scratch-Head:

Newark's not too terribly far away from me.......

SO....... um...... when DO you dry out? (Belize, not you ;) )

Cuz, um, I have a passport already. :D

dmplaura 10-26-2008 07:37 PM

I has passport as well! I had to get one this year to go to Chicago.

The passport was $100+ CAD.

That's more than 2 tickets, for 1 passport! Doh!
