My Nan

On the date of 24th June, 2004, I lost my Nan. A very special, strong woman.

She had diabetes, which evidently led to kidney failure, she fought for many years against the illness, but unfortunately, she was admitted to hospital, and for several months, she stayed in hospital, just getting much more ill, and then came the day where her body just gave up, and she passed away in her sleep.

I miss her dearly. I have memories of her, but the most vivid ones are her last night alive, and that day after, in the morgue... :(

Things got worse after she died...

But she is at peace...

R.I.P Nan.

I'm so sorry about your Nan, Sarah. It's very hard to lose those we love....I've been through it several times myself and it never gets any easier. Take comfort in the fact that she is at peace and no longer battling the disease and it's effects. I'm sure she loved you very much and wants you to be happy. :hug:

Thank you herekitty.

She suffered a lot, and she is now at peace. I always imagine the after life like it is where you can do all the things you enjoy the most.

I imagine her on a cloud, watching her soaps, in her chair, with a cup of tea, the worlds best, made by me... She loved my cups of teas. :)

That is how I imagine my family members, too. Doing the things they love and not fretting about the way things were.

I like that thought. And the thought that someday, we will be together again. Doing the things we love, being with those we love.
