What's on your Plate?
 

Mr.Alffe couldn't say no to the woman who called and pleaded for help with this Fridays fish fry at church...she needs cookers, people to set up, to serve, to take down, wash dishes and put away..he said we would!

He must have forgotten that there is a funeral at church Sat morning and I'm the "vegetable lady" for funerals and have to be there to set up, serve, clean up.............it's nice to be needed but, but, but.....

Sooooooo, I need to make two cherry pies, and two hot veggies dishes sometime tomorrow.....(I still have my sil here....:o )

Husbands !!! (Today - and Thursday and Friday- mine is off from work)

I have a giant box of plants that arrived Monday SIX WEEKS LATE and it's been too wet to plant. They HAVE to go in today.

And ~sigh~ as early as it seems, today the Christmas stuff starts going up in our house. No way to stop it.
Just a few years ago we always had 18 trees to decorate each year. I even took down curtains and drapes to replace them with Christmas curtains and drapes. Paintings came down to be replaced with Christmas stuff. ~whew~
I'm glad that doesn't happen anymore.

I wonder :p if Jingle would post a picture of her house all decorated for Christmas? *whisper....what are you planting?

We have a team meeting today at noon with the drs, nurses and therapists who are working with my MIL at the hosptial. this should be interesting. :rolleyes:

Friday is my daughters birthday.They are out of school for teacher conferences, so her friends were suppose to come over at 11:00 and we were suppose to go to a mall and "shop till we drop" but as it turned out NONE of those invited could come. SO long story short, ALL the girls will meet at the HS football game fri night, I pick them up after the game, bring them here for a sleepover, we get up Saturday and then head to the mall for a day of shopping LOL.... Should be fun.....

Ohhh Alffie dear, my plate has way filled and running over, but most of all

my heart is breaking into. Would you loved ones say a prayer for one of my sons and his family.

I fear for son and I don't know how to help him.

maybe a little prayer for me to know how to help him. I'm kind of falling apart.

no, thats not right ,I have fallen apart and can not speak without bursting into tears. I've got to get the water works turned off and be strong for him.

Dear dear Jo, I am so sorry your plate is overflowing....and of course I will include you and yours in my prayers. I hate to hear that your heart is breaking....please know that I am here for you...that I care about you...
We know that there are no easy answers and sometimes we just have to accept what "is"....warm hugs.
