Let's talk about fatigue some more!

So what do you take (Rx) for fatigue? Provigil? I would google it, but I am too tired!:o

So right now I don't take anything.

How do you know when it is time to ask your neuro for a Rx?

Do you think when you wake up and you don't know where you are and come to find out you are in the bathroom sitting on the toilet, that maybe you need something for fatigue?:p:o

So what do you think?

Do I go to the Dr? ...or....see what other fun places I wake up! Could be interesting!:D

Taffy, you are too funny. I've done that...where am I. Hmmm....the living room...the bathroom. Done that too.

Yes, call the doctor. Fatigue drugs? Provigil is my friend. Just got my rx renewed. Mmmmm, good stuff. ;)

There are other meds too. But I'd go with that one, if your insurance will pay for it.

Aw Taffy..I'm tired of talking about fatigue..:o
Yep, I take provigil. Along with Vitamin B12. Doesn't always feel like they're working, until I don't take it. Without it, I can sleep 12 or more hours a night, and still feel tired enough during the day to take a two hour nap. I can be working on the computer and fighting to keep my eyes open. I was afraid of falling alseep while driving. There was no "quality of life", cuz I was sleeping or looking forward to sleeping all the time. I still struggle with it, but provigil helps..Worth checking into. Hope you find something that helps!

Hi Taffy,

I use Provigil now and it works pretty well. I only take it on work days though so that it will keep working for me. I hope you'll find something that works for you too! :)

I take Ritalin. Sometimes I don't think it does anything for me but if I forget to take it I really notice the difference. during this family room remodel just not having to get up at 7 AM makes a difference! I am dog tired and I'm taking the Ritalin.

I answered on Catch's thread about fatigue. I'm at work and my Provigil hasn't kicked in yet and I am too tired to answer again :p

I just wanted you to know that I saw your thread and responded, you goose! Careful you don't fall off the pot and knock yourself out!:D

Twinkletoes 10-28-2008 11:10 PM

Awwww, ((((Taffy)))). So sorry for your fatigue.

Until you get some help for it, just be careful whose pot you fall asleep on, k? ;)

provgil is good stuff manard.... I have to break the two hundreds in half its too much for my jittery brain

Niko 10-29-2008 04:41 AM

I take Ritalin-SR once a day. I suppose it works.. i.e. I don't fall asleep at 11 am .. but ... I still yawn quite a bit through the day and by 8pm, I start getting ready for bed.

Provigil didn't work for me.
The other med. (can't think of the name of it) didn't work either.

Hope *you* find something for *you*!!

Cheeers!

Niko
