For Those With Eye Problems

Hi Everyone,
I have just been DX with Cellulitis of the eyelid tissue. If anyone has any redness or problems around the eyes I beg of you to have it checked by a competant MD. Big Hugs, Roz

Very serious

Roz, I feel so bad for you. I truley hope it heals swiftly and no lingering affect. Do they know why it flared? You were very lucky the doctor diagx it for you.

It is very serious. My daughter had a cellulitis infection in Feb that started bacteria eating healthy tissue and filled her arm with infection that she nearly lost her life or arm. The tissue was nacroptic and had to be removed in several surgeries and then a the arm was left open for a month, packed and repacked twice daily until closed with a skin graft.

Although her was an encapsulated compacture, from either a spider bite or it may have been a deer tick because of our location in the Northeast. When the infection began, it was a lump and ring around it, then went into a huge lump. She ahd ehr broother rub it as it was near the wrist and it poped through the fascia layer. This began the cycle. The same week my son was in the back yard (we are heavily wooded to the rear) burning a mattress and he got a ite. But, it just stayed local and even when healed now, scarred with a ring.

My younger son, devloped shingles on his face from the nose traveled to the eye or vice versa. That was a huge burning mess and took a long time to heal.
My prayers are with you our friend,
Hugs
Di

Hi Di,
I can't thank you enough for your wisdom. My eyes are getting better. I am soo thankful. I was told that it could of gone to the brain.

At first I was put on Doxycyline that did nothing but make it worse. Now I am on Avelox 400mg and Tobradex eye drops.

I was treated about 5 months ago for a rough infection in my arms. That was caught early too. I had to be on antibiotics for over month at that time.

I hope your daughter is doing well. I am so glad she has Di to help, give her a big hug from me. Love, Roz
