Genes in place of Deep Brain Stimulation.

I went to an annual PD meeting/conferrence this weekend, and they were all talking about DBS, and how in 3 yrs. it will be replaced by Genes.\Did not understand it 100%. Anyone else hear this?

Can you tell us who was saying this (medical folk, and if so, who and from what institution?) and where/when the conference was?
