Dr called late yesterday............

Well my Dr. called and is sending the reports from my MRI and X-rays to one of the neurosurgeons the Pain Center suggested and she agreed on one of them.

Tomorrow I have to go and pick up a new pain script she upped the times of day I can take it. I also have to call the neurosurgeons to make sure they have everything and see about an appt.
I have the actual film of the x-rays and mri.

My anxiety has dropped a bit, but the fear of the unknown runs rapid through my head. Not being able to do much of anything w/o raising my pain level is making me upset and my moods aren't really stable. I mean I am ok, but irritable.:(

Too much, too soon, in my life going on and on.....ah guess it could be worse.

VOTE...............Hugs, Nikko :grouphug:

Nikko

I'm glad its starting to move on. To another doctor. Please make sure
you call and check things out. The surgeon I was talking about is the
general one I was sent too that didn't have me down for a appointment.

And tomorrow will be two weeks after I was there and am still waiting on
whether my gallbladder with 12 to 15 stones is coming out or if a hernia
is being operated on first. She had to locate a CT scan.

Ugh.

If I were you, I would start calling and ask what is going on......sometimes you have to do that, these Dr's are busy, and paperwork or faxes don't get to the right place.

Here I can pick up the X-rays and MRI along with the reports to bring to the Dr's because they only get the report, not the films.

It's aggravating waiting, well for me, so I just get on the phone, even if I have leave messages to get things on the ball.

Good Luck.....Are they doing the hernia and the gallstones surgery at the same time?????? Or two separate surgerys? I feel for you.

I wouldn't wait anymore, get on the horn......Hugs, Nikko:hug:

Today I go to my PCP's office to pick up my pain script, since she upped the dosage to take daily. Then I will go to the pharmacy have my script filled and my dog's too for his seizures.

Then have to call the neurosurgeon to make sure he has all the reports, and see when I can get an appt.

I wonder how long it will be before I can get an appt., he has to review the reports.

Another day.........Did a bit too much around the house yesterday, felt good getting a bit accomplished, but paying for it today, that's me, dumb, but I feel that the damage is already done to my lumbar spine, so whats the difference at this point........

My PCP is on the other side of town, I live on the East Side and my Dr is on the North side. Oh, well enjoy the sites, mountains...ha got to make the best of the ride...................wish I could take one of my dogs or both with me, but I have to inside and I would NEVER leave them in the car.

They have been in Walgreens, Home Depot and the convience store. They let you, a book store nearby lets you take your dogs in too.:D

Well, got to go to the bank too, someone send me some motivation and energy please, then pass then wine and cheese:D

Hugs, Nikko:grouphug:

i will pass the wine and cheese. I am so glad for you that you are getting extra pain killers and the process is on the roll.
I am still amazed at your delightful spirit

Thanks.....got to laugh and try and stay positive, keeps the sadness away and no sense in getting bitchy, although I do......:p I think pain causes depression, viscious circle.

It isn't like I haven't been though c-spine and lumbar surgery before, so I kind of know the ropes, so to speak. Just making the decisions for me is hard.

Oh, good we can have a wine and cheese party later, ok.....

everyone's invited.......................Nikko:grouphug:

biopfreeze usually comes in a roller form of application sometimes a pump and can be purchesed $$ in a doctors office, like a chripractor or even therapist. Call around, our health food store used to carry this product.
I believe it uses cold penetrating and lasts a long time.
Have you ever used those patches, maybe ben gay makes them...I think they are expensive....
be careful with your back!

Hi and thanks..............I use the heat patches and they do help for awhile.

Or icy hot roll on. My mom used to use all different kinds of that stuff for her arthritis, I hate the ones that smell. I used to buy her all different kinds, so I kind of know the ones she said worked, and the ones she said didn't.

I also have one of those things you put on a chair, and it rolls and relax's your back, but it doesn't go as low as my lumbar spine. It was a present from friends, it's really nice to have, it's like a massage.

I also use a lumbar support pillow type roll, which helps a bit too, especially when driving.

Think I will put on a patch today, since I have to drive.
