New to the site and CRPS

I stumbled on this site while searching for some info as to why I have so rapidly gone from a highly-functional person to someone who is groggy and has constant burning pain. I was diagnosed very early in my course with CRPS and am just going through the process of seeing if anything works. I am a neuro ICU nurse in a major medical center, but have never heard of this disorder before (more a head bleed/stroke/brain surgery unit). I'm devastated and a little underwhelmed by the treatment options for this-I swear they are throwing darts at a dart board. If ONE more doctor points out that I am anxious and tearful, I will snap (being a nurse, I have no fear and limited reverence for certain doctors). Uh, yeah, maybe the steroids, the fact that my entire life is in upheaval, and the fact that I have pain of a character that I have difficulty even describing could do that to ANY personality type! I'd be crazy if this didn't have some impact, yes? Just needed to put myself out there and see if there are others like me.:ranting::ranting:

Welcome to Neuro Talk, do not hesitate to post questions here at NT. you will find that there are a lot of kind and helpful people here, that in itself can be as good as an answer, but most times you get the kindness and an answer which is a win win, again welcome to NT:Wave-Hello:
