Dos this sound familiar
Hi - My father is in a nursing home w/ vascular dementia , he has narowing of the arteries to the barin - and arthritis in his neck,. He has started experiencing these really odd symptons: His nose starts runnng like a faucet - clear watery liquid - he can't seem to stop it. then he gets very tired. the next morning he can't sit up in his wheel chair, he slumps to the left and he can't stand at all and is out of it completely. This goes on for a day or two and then he is sitting back up and doing better till it happens again. he is in cosntant pain that no painkiller seems to help, and allergy medicines do not stop the nose from riunning. And sometimes he complains about his head having a lot of pressure - like it will crack. Everyone seems to be at a loss as to what it is - other than "the progression of the disease" Someone suggested to me that this could be a cfs leak. Does this sound familiar to anyone?

Yes, it does sound like it could be a CSF leak. Do you know if he fell and hit his head recently? I would push for the doctors to explore that possibility, personally.
