Still angry......
You robbed them of their innocence, took away their pride
Painful childhood memories kept bottled up inside You were their father, vowed to keep them safe Their shame lingers on for their bodies you decided to take How can you do this, lock them in this hell Too scared to cry out, too ashamed to tell Your memory lingers on, haunting them inside You show up in their dreams, shameful thoughts they try to hide Now you’ve taken ill, to your own body enslaved But worry not dear father, they will be there, to dance upon your grave For you will be dead, a past they can finally put behind You will no longer exist, a pain that may heal with time As you lie alone, reflecting on your life Realize you've lost it all, your children, even your wife No one will be there to witness your last breath, You will die alone, now maybe your children can rest. |
This is sad for all involved in this poem.
