Greetings from So. California
Hello - I am new to NeuroTalk. I found the CFS/Fibro thread by accident and the folks on that thread are just as nice as they can be. Very friendly.
In 2004, I was diagnosed with several illnesses. Not sure what happened but I think years of stress on my body finally took its toll. I developed Type II diabetes, hypothyroidism, Fibromyalgia/Chronic Fatigue, and Venous insufficiency. I already had problems with my leg and back. Those did not get properly diagnosed until recently. I have DDD in back and neck. I will be having surgery on my back in 2 weeks (Dec. 2, 2008). I was hospitalized back in April 2006 with a bad case of Cellulitis. It was a very close call. I was in the hospital for a week on an IV antiobiotic. I am on several medications that have given me some quality of life. I'm 55 yrs old, married with a daughter from a previous marriage and two grandchildren. I'm taking one step at a time and believe laughter is one way to make yourself feel somewhat better. Nice to meet everyone! |
