IBS with Fibro.
 

Last week I saw a Gastro which diagnosed me with Irritable Bowel Syndrome which I read up on and is also know as Fibrogut or Colitis. I do have Fibromyalgia and CFS along with RSD and CPS.

I was wondering if any of you have IBS and how you are dealing with it. He did put me on 3 things for it. Align, Amitiza, and Kondremul.

I had a colonoscopy yesterday and will know the results of biopsies in a week or so.

I knew I had the IBS about 4 years ago but it has gotten so much worse to the point that it makes me miserable.

Have any of you got any thoughts on this.

Hi ((Ada)). Yes I believe that gut problems are commonly associated with fibro people. I'm 59 and have had Ulcerative Colitis since I was 27. I have colonoscopies every year as the UC tried to take my life quite a few times. One time I dropped down to 86 lbs and was in the hospital for a month!

I take Colestid and Asacol. I just had a colonoscopy on Oct. 31 and one of the biopsies showed some change so now I have to go have it again in 6 months! Yucky!!!
