Possible Exposure to Impetigo
My grandson (who lives with us) has been exposed to impetigo, which I understand is a contagious bacterial skin infection, sometimes a strep infection, and sometimes staph. I'm only 7 weeks out from a six month treatment of steroids and just finished antibiotics for bronchitis. Should I be worried? (Seems like I get an infection every time my GS is sick.)
I guess I know what to look for symptom wise, but how paranoid should I be? Open to suggestions. |

I do hope you don't develop this infection! |

Hope you are doing well. |
I'm not aware of this particular condition . . . but when it comes to germ-sharing, I have become somewhat of a fanatic in recent years.:rolleyes: I tote a spray bottle of Lysol around with me in the house whenever anyone is sick, and ESPECIALLY clean the keyboard every time someone comes near my computer.
Yep, I'm obsessive about it . . . but for me, I am so susceptible and find it hard to recover from anything else now that this disease has become a force to reckon with. Better safe then sorry. :) Cherie |
