Black Friday experience

I have to tell you all I had a good Black friday. I had a few sour faces here and there because I did not have the answers to the secret of the Universe (that is sarcasm for I do not know everything) People wanted cheaper prices even though it was already marked down. I could not believe it. And the worst part of all was this man was really mean to me and made me cry all because I was in charge of directing traffic. He got ****** off all because he was put in the correct line and these girls cut in front of him as well. And I wanted to keep it mutual so I said I am sorry sir there is nothing I can do but you are almost there to the cashier and he said to me "Well you had no problem moving me from there to here". I told him I was sorry and he then he told me YOU SERIOUSLY NEED TO GET AWAY FROM ME RIGHT NOW!!! I was not allowed to leave my area because I had to monitor the line and stuff. But he looked like he was threatening me. So then I had decided to leave and go cry in the corner. One of the guys from my work saw me and told me to go break room. I then said, no I will go back to my line and show that bastard my tears and just give him the silent treatment. By the time I went back he has already left. So I am hoping he saw my tears. I hope he feels like **** after all that. F###in Bokong! I then had to go back to the breakroom until I stopped crying. It did not take long at all. One of the guys got mad that he said the guy who made me cry deserves to get his *** kicked. I have to say I felt better when I heard my team make fun of the customer. hahaha. I handled it very well I must admit. And I did not let it ruin my day. So I am glad I am ok.

It kills me how childish and materialistic some people are.
And seriously some people just need to be put on time out for their behavior. lol

:D

Dear Fevah,

Woah.
That guy was rude.
I'm glad that your co-workers helped you feel a little better.

I'm sorry that there are such rude people like that customer who made you cry. You are okay now so that is good.

Considering it was Black Friday and some of the things that happened
in some areas. I'm so glad you stood your ground, but also are safe.

Please remember, even if your supposed to stay in your line or area,
your safety comes first. No matter what the management says.

I'm sure that there are many in a Walmart in New York, and a toy
store in California that would agree today.

I know that I think very highly of anyone that can work in a store
in this season.

I know what that's like after having worked in a Supermarket for 14 years.

The pressure in the store builds up around Thanksgiving, and Christmas. It gets busy before Easter, and the Forth of July. If there is a snowy forecast, they line up for bread, milk, bear, chips, and other things.

One time the heat was on,and I was usually cool:cool:with the customers. One time a man got mad when I was coming out of the back room from lunch, and he asked a question, and I answered, and he misunderstood. We sparked at each other, and I went in the back room, and punched off the clock, and left the building, and walked around the block, and came back, and punched back in. They told me that he tried to get in the back room to get to me. This was one of our regular customers.

So I said that to say it gets crazy up there around the registers, and meat department when it's before one of those holidays. Grown people sometimes act like children. Present company excluded. It gets CRAZY.:Crowded::Talkative::mf_argue::ranting: It does a number on the crew. BF:hug::hug:

You all thank you. You know, the sour faces had no effect on me at all. And I did not really care at all. But that guy just scared me and right away with out thinking I literally walked away. I had to get away because he was a big man and scared the pants off me. So it was the instincts that played the role. I have to say it was a good black friday because

1) No body ran into the store this time.

2)No one fought

3) no one died

4) customers thanked me for my service even though it was out of stock.

5) I conquered a challenge I never thought I would of conquered and that is people who are sour and mean. It did not ruin my day at all. I didn't let it get me down at all. And I laughed after that experience. Because of the retardedness.

So yeah I feel like I have accomplished a lot.

Yes you did handle it and I'm glad it didn't ruin your day. That is something I would have had trouble with. I admire you.

I'm glad your day turned out well anyway...but isn't that why they have security. Your title caught my eye...you did good!!

Through your tears, you could have asked the jerk if you needed to call security? It ain't easy on your side of the counter, been there and sometimes you really want to smack em in the back of the head...using more than your hand. You deserve two hot chocolates, with cinnamon sprinkles on the cream.

Hopefully the rest of the season will be better and you won't see this rude inconsiderate scrooge...or maybe I'm being too harsh. His wife might have made him go when he really didn't want to leave the house...like I do my DH.lol
Glad the Lamictal is working for you...

LOL thanks I am doing better. However I keep getting weirdos I have to deal with. It is funny though however.

As a matter of fact I have a sequel to the My job is never Dull thread. If you want to laugh. it is must read. I find certain customers funny. ;)

Well thank you so much for your message ;)
