Suicidal feelings

I am falling apart due to financial, diseases and stress. I don't want to be homeless with kids. I'm so scared I barely sleep lately.

Hi there Hola. I'm sorry that you've feeling overwhelmed at the moment.

May I suggest that you make a post over in the Survivors of Suicide Forum (SOS). This forum is for those who have who have lost a loved one to suicide, for those who have attempted suicide and have survived, and for others who have suicidal thoughts and need to vent, or just need some support.

Here's the link straight into the SOS Forum. Just click the link and start posting. : http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/forum29.html

You'll find all the members there will be very supportive Hola, remembering of course that everyone is there for a common reason.

Sending you some cyber hugs because it sounds like you could do with them .

Thanks Koala, that was nice of you. I'm so hopeless.

Any links to a company that would hire a disabled person ( one with a progressive disease) I need a JOB desperately.

Alffe 11-30-2008 11:25 AM

(((Hola))) We really do live in scary times with this economy and the job and home markets so precarious. And it's awful to be afraid! You aren't alone...please follow Anne's (Koala's) link and join our Survivors family.
It's ok to talk about feelings (including feeling suicidal)..we take turns holding each other up. :grouphug:

Your message here is kind of hidden away Hola, and you might get more replies if you were to post this one in the Social Forum.

Good luck in finding a job .... I'm sure there will be companies out there that look past a disability and only see the skills of the applicant.

Thank you Alffe and Koala. I'll take a look at that link now. :)

I don't know whether you may have had a chance to see a reply I noted in the Social Chat forum yet it's about jobs for the disabled:

Mine's the last post in the thread. I sure hope it helps, and I will keep an eye out for more.

I hope you're doing better, Hola.

I'm in Australia so not much help with companies etc., but here we have employment agencies who are set up to specifically help people with disabilities of many types. A person starts out by going to our Govt. Centrelink department and then are directed onto specialist agencies. I'm not sure if you have the same type of thing there.

Whoah

Sorry it took a while to get back here. I was not feeling well and found out I need surgery for a removal of a tumor. It will be an open abdominal and I've been through hell and back being ill. January 30 I go under the knife and will find out the results then. See, just when my life seemed unbearable, it became WORSE :( SSI is a pain on top of it all and still no income and Cobra runs out soon. But bright side...this huge surgery will be covered and any treatment also. I'll be in the hospital for while and worry a LOT about my kids and our future. I hope the nursing staff allows the kids to stay with me :(:(:( Please pray that it will all be okay ....
