Interesting, and a heads up for me when I got my copy of the Journal of the UK Neuropathy Trust today, which has an advert for a device available in the UK called SAFO (Silicone Ankle Foot Orthosis) which "has been used extremely successfully to alleviate symptoms of drop foot in neuropathy patients". PM me if you would like further details.

PS I had never heard of drop foot before seeing the above, but following the link, I think maybe I have it in addition to the ever-present neuropathic pain, the result of spinal cord damage caused by compression.
