folding@home

Would it be possible for Neurotalk to form a folding at hometeam?

Lara 11-18-2006 11:23 PM

I'm folding as I type, so I for one wouldn't have the capabilities of doing it more than once, although I would if I could.
I'm working on my biggest one yet. Well, I'm not working on it, my computer is. lol

firemonkey 11-19-2006 02:05 AM

My desktop computer is currently busy folding.
I decided to create a neurotalk team myself Team NO is 52996. I had
been a member of the Braintalk team for quite some time but seeing as i'm persona non grata there it seemed incongruous continuing to be part of their folding team.

If anyone has objections to my doing this please say so and i will change name and also link to neurotalk forums.

hi firemonkey

I think this is likely something that would be for DocJohn to decide :)

Misfolding proteins in the human cell is the cause of many of the more prominate neurological diseases and indeed hundreds of other diseases.

I have been a member of Folding At Home for almost 5 years and hope to continue as long as I can.

There has never been any problem for me.

Think hard about this one John as it is such a worthwhile project for all of the members here and the community of all human beings in general.

You can find all the information you need on the web by just typing in Misfolded proteins news

Never knew about this before! Thanks, firemonkey, for bringing it to my attention!
