Advise for the back of my quilt.
 

Can anyone give me some advise about making the back for the quilt I made.
It is for my granddaughter, very cute so but the workmanship is a little shoddy.
I'll never make it in time for Christmas. I didn't use a pattern, which is one problem. My inexperience was obvious as I would have to tear something out and try again.

My mom does a cotton type of backing if the front is flannel material , or if cotton materials on the front she does a flannel backing.

she usually tries to match the main fabric theme or colors.
sports, characters, or main color themes -blues, pinks, neutrals etc
