Weekly Check-In Nov 19-25, 2006 Happy Thanksgiving

Hi Everyone..

Happy Thanksgiving!!..I hope you all have a good one!..I am going to my girlfriends on Thanksgiving..If my truck will make it there..Ive been looking for another one..The old girl has 209,000 miles on her..and still doesnt use a drop of oil..Unfortunately everything else has been caving in around it

My brother goes in for his appointment Monday morning..I hope everything is ok, but I will have a better idea then what the story is

Somebody stole my Handicap Parking Placard out of my truck today!.. ..What kind of a low life does that?..Unbelievable!..Could be bad karma for whoever did it

Well, my boat is sold, and we are waiting for the tranfer of the Coast Guard Documentation to go through..untill then I still have to keep an eye on the boat, because the guy who bought it lives about 2 hours from here..Cant wait untill its a done deal

Ive been feeling ok, mostly, and outside of some rain the weather has been pretty good..I went to my support group this morning, and we made plans for our annual Christmas party on Dec 9

That about wraps it up for me..How was your week?

Steve

Hi,
Its been a week of colder weather - but I am loving my new house, and enjoying just being at home, being a mum and housewife, doing ordinary things.

And it seemed just perfect........

But, finally, this morning got the call that has been two whole years coming! I am going into hospital this evening to be taken off sinemet.

I am very anxious, and feel very insecure about this. Sinemet has kept me going for nearly 4 years, and made life easier and me more functional. I don't know what they will conclude, don't know how my body will react, and feel quite scared......soooorry if I am such a coward. I feel as though they are doing this because they do not believe that I have a medical condition.

Oh, I cannot go into it all, there is too much and I do not want to be a whinge, but the only people to understand this are PWP's....... and I am so grateful that you all, most of whom have been dealing with this for a lot longer than me, are there, friendly supportive and kind. Which is not how my doctors have been.....

I shall be in for anything between 2 days and 2 weeks. :(

On another thought altogether, I guess it is Thanksgiving time, not sure of the dates from this side of the pond, so have a happy and good holiday.

Lindy xx

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!! I hope you all have a good one. I'm reminding myself of the things I have to be thankful for: family, home, income (I just wish I could add good health to the list). My family and I will attend a Native American POW-WOW, since they are Native American (Creek to be exact). Hope everyone has a blessed holiday.

Wishing all you 'mericans a happy Thanksgiving!

We celebrate in October up here in the frozen north. So the next turkey on my agenda is a little over a month away (unless you count the kind that don't fit into the poultry catagory). You'd think they'd spread the Turkey days out a bit... have one in say late spring and then one at Christmas.
I don't cook them anymore anyway. I noticed a flyer advertising a deep fryer for your Turkey for a mere $199.00...I understand that's an excellent way to burn your house down:eek: Or give yourself a heart attack/stroke by adding yet another way of getting your bad cholestrol counts up there where they can really do some damage.

Well it looks like another very wet week in our part of the magic forest. We're having record rainfalls for the month of Nov. Yesterday they had a fight break out at Costco over bottled water (we're on a boiled water advisory from the local authorities) We are having record rainfalls and the water is full of sediment. It sorta turns you off showering or taking a bath too. Personally, if it saves me the trouble by having one less thing to do I can live with it. I'm starting to look a little grubby. This is one of those times when having no sense of smell pays off. So till next week, have a good one. cheers, and go easy on the mashed potatoes and gravey!

Happy Turkey Day everyone! Don't eat too much.

Lindy, know that our prayers are with you. Good Luck with your Sinemet holiday. I hope everything goes well.

Steve, guess what is coming your way? We had a dusting of **** here this morning(sorry I just can't make myself say it, Yet!).

rosebud, Isn't that what Thanksgiving is for? Bring thankful you didn't burn down the house again this year:D . Being thankful that your doctor is on call this weekend so that when the big one hits you know you'll be taken care of :) ?

We are going to my brothers house for the big dinner. He and I are the only two left in the family. Now there's a scary thought.
