Velcro and those silly Mayans.

Yep.
According to the Mayan calendar we only have 4 years left as of today. (Thier calendar ends 21 Dec 2012).

Now a lot of egghead buzz killers say something bad is gonna happen that day. Like REALLY bad. Like all the worst parts of The Bible type bad.

But fear not! I feel the Mayans ended thier calendar on that day because they ran out of pictures of pretty girls in bikinis to put on said calendar.;)

Disscuss.

OH! The 'velcro' part of the title... just trying to get your attention.

I'm hooked (velcro pun here).

My dear man, contrary to the history books you've been reading photography wasn't developed (pun alert) during the Mayan times. Perhaps you're thinking of some other form of artwork of girls in bikinis?

I mean really, Mayan girls in bikinis near burial mounds? Stepped pyramids? Stelae? Ok, I see possibilities here.

The Mayan area extended to Belize. Hmmm.... maybe Cayo will have something interesting to contribute to the discussion.

did anyone notice that on the mayan calendar, underneath their last day, 21 december, 2012, in very very fine print, it says:

return to GO!

I want my $200 (with interest).

You know if you stick velcro the ceiling and the top of a kid's head...they can't jump on the bed.:D

Last year when you posted this info we had only 5yrs left...remind me again next year.
Then maybe I'll start looking for a cave to stockpile my poptarts and velcro.

If it all ends on 21 Dec of any year at least you got time to get your Christmas layaway out.

Velcro equipped toys or not.

DAY1 12-21-2008 10:12 PM

Nostradamus also ended his predictions in Dec 2012.

I was just telling my hubby about this the other night. Talking about both the Mayans and Nostradamus.

Yet, my bible says that no one will be able to predict when the Earth shall end.

So who's right? Guess we shall see in another 4 yrs.

DAY

as seen on many websites:

"The Mayan Calendar is not predicting the end of the world 2012, but the start of a new era; the golden age."

very curious... will be investigating... should be reporting before 21 december 2012. ;)

AS AN APPETIZER:
"Part of the 2012 mystique stems from the stars. On the winter solstice in 2012, the sun will be aligned with the center of the Milky Way for the first time in about 26,000 years. This means that "whatever energy typically streams to Earth from the center of the Milky Way will indeed be disrupted on 12/21/12 at 11:11 p.m. Universal Time," Joseph writes."
