Two local men drown over the weekend...

Two men drowned this weekend...on two completely different rivers. One died just a few miles from here after falling off a jet ski. He was found just a few minutes later in Dead River.

The other a former law enforcement chief still has not been found. Yesterday they were still looking for his body on the Oconee River.

Please keep the families of these two men in your prayers. It is always painful to lose family or friends but it seems more so during the holiday season or on a special occasion. My uncle died 31 years ago during the holiday season...he was buried three days before Christmas. Each year I remember him and how special he was, he loved my two kids and always thought they should get whatever they wanted for Christmas.

These families will also remember the time of sadness during this year...please let us remember them in our thoughts and prayers.

I just said a prayer for them also. I can't imagine what their families are going through.
