not so good
 

Hi,
I went to see my friend in Assisted Living and took her some personal items she requested.
She was depressed and not doing so well.


Then on the way out of the oneway drive way of her building a fast car almost slammed into me. I could not get out of the way because there were concrete walls on both sides of the driveway. All I could do was beep my horn and pray.
The guy in the other car stopped a few feet from me.
I was imagining horrible things as I saw him coming at me fast.


The people on the road scare me.
NOTHING is open in my town accept pharmacies and a few restaurants here and there -- and yet cars everywhere.

And it is dark out.

Mari,

That is rather scary to have a car almost hit you. I only went out to go to a neighbor's place today and in the past the roads here are usually deserted. My ex use to say that everyone was in a hurry to get no where.

OMG Mari! I am so glad you're okay! That is so frightening. It's too bad about your friend too. Thie holidays are so hard on some people. I know I am glad Christmas is over. Yet people will still drive crazy for a couple weeks to come. It's just a bad time of year. So glad you're okay....:hug:

Sorry that happened. I know it was frightening. Seeing your friend in such a place must be difficult as well... then you are nearly in an accident... That was just a lousy night...

I am so glad you are okay. It is so scary out there in these crazy days. Plus Christmas day, not many people are out and about.

Always carry a cell phone, just hit 911 and they can find where you are on most phones, I believe.

Sorry to hear your friend is depressed, but I bet you just going to visit, helped a lot.

Hi,
The check up with the tdoc today was the first time I saw her since August.
After I gave her my updates, she said that I was still holding on to the improvements that I accomplished over the summer.
She tried to be encouraging.

Regarding the near accident yesterday:

She said to practice visualizing
1) the other car stopping
2) my being able to back up and get out of the way
3) my driving off safe.
