Rebif help please.......

I had surgery in early december. The Rn who did my preop wasnt really famaliar with all the meds I was on but assured me that the pharmacy would have all of them or would call me. Also, she would find out what to do about my Rebif. (HA)

I stopped my rebif 2 days prior to surgery.

Had a horrific time in hospital.....Incompetent Nurses.....Nearly died....No one bothered to call my doctor or my neuro and then lied about it.....Blah blah Blah.

At discharge was told to check with doctor about what meds to take. ?????
And was given info on heart failure. Hellllloooooooo I had a hysterectomy!!!! Would you like to tell me something?

Recovery was painful to say the least. I was waiting to talk to my neuro about what to do about Rebif, since I had stopped it. Found out that my neuro had Knee Surgery and was only checking in for messages. Phone tag between me and nurses.

Its been about a month now of being of the Rebif. I really dont miss those shots or the side effects. Hubby thinks I should give up on the meds since i was miserable with the side effects. I have no idea what to do. Hubby was the one pushing me to start the meds, when I didnt want to.

What do I say to my doctor?:

Any advice greatly appreciated!!!!

Wow...that is a tough one. Hope you are feeling better first. Then, you need to be the one that wants to take the therapy. So, I hope you do. If it was me, I would try the Rebif again and be sure to take that Tylenol when I do my shots. If the carps keep up talk to the Doc about switching.

My recommendation....

I take 1000mg of Aleve an hour before my shot and it helps. I still get aches and hot and cold sweats during the night but this drug is keeping me in remission. Don't give up, after about 6 months the side effects got less-way less than Avonex.
