"Be Thankful" -

Be Thankful

Be thankful that you don't already have everything you desire,
If you did, what would there be to look forward to?

Be thankful when you don't know something
For it gives you the opportunity to learn.

Be thankful for the difficult times.
During those times you grow.

Be thankful for your limitations
Because they give you opportunities for improvement.

Be thankful for each new challenge
Because it will build your strength and character.

Be thankful for your mistakes
They will teach you valuable lessons.

Be thankful when you're tired and weary
Because it means you've made a difference.

It is easy to be thankful for the good things.
A life of rich fulfillment comes to those who are
also thankful for the setbacks.

GRATITUDE can turn a negative into a positive.
Find a way to be thankful for your troubles
and they can become your blessings.

How appropriate

Thanks Tena for that wonderful reminder that we have so many things to be thankful for. I often thank God for the hard times because it makes me so more appreciative of the good things He has given me.

Here is a picture I took on Thanksgiving Day 2005 from my window. It is not light yet so don't know if we will have sunshine but won't have that much snow this year.

What inspirational words

How beautiful, those words are. Will try to memorise this and recall it during the yuk times.Thank you so much for sharing them.
x

Awesome photo.Beautiful scenery. We have mush in England...not pure white snow like that.Leastways its been a long time since we were able to toboggan and build snowmen. The last time we had thick snowfall ,I almost wound up in a prison cell for the night.Don`t ask. Would have been an ace experience.
One for the grandkids .lol

Hey? Could we make this into a thread of beautiful images and inspirational words.I guess its been done many times before but it might be time to do it again. Only a suggestion...but thank you for this breath of fresh air.

Steffi

ps I`m pretty dumb with pc`s...so can you tell me how you managed to get that picture on here...lol

dearest dale and steffi~

dear dale,
wow -theres no mail like -snowmail? ;)
dear steffi -you have mushie snow? :)
I live in the middle of the US, so far no snow here, and for that I am grateful,
when I was a little girl, I would get dressed in many layered clothing so I could stay outside in the cold with snow and play -yet I was too cold still?
so I'd play for a whole 3 minutes and run inside, shiverring!

when I first was dxd PD, people would ask me...Are you cold?
my favorite reply was/is -yes! ;)

the best thing we can do for ourselves is be as happy as possible...

Steffi,

You can upload a picture to NeuroTalk by clicking on the "Manage Attachments" below the message box that you type your message in. I have never done it that way but Carolyn does it that way and can explain how to do it in detail.

If that is too complicated you can email me your picture and I'll upload it to my web site and send you what to type to make it display in your message. You could also send it to me via Yahoo Messenger or Skype. You can find all three by looking at my profile.

Tena,

Does cold weather make your tremor worse? I told my neuro last week that cold weather really affected my PD symptoms and he said he'd never heard that before. I couldn't believe what I was hearing.
