3 years ago today

It was 3 yrs ago today that Mya officially came to live with me. My dil was caring for her and trying to locate her owner. Mya was found wandering the streets of downtown Tampa.

When we found out she was not spayed and heartworm positive my dil knew she was in over her head......Enter Dottie soft hearted animal lover. She was spayed and survived heartworm treatment (I had my doubts that she would make it)

I also found out the day after Mya came to stay with me that my Rottweiller had bone cancer. She had to be put down. Mya helped to fill the hole in my heart.

That was the beginning. It has been a joyous, and expensive road. Last year at this time Mya had surgery she had 2 ruptured discs in her neck.

I would do it all again, she is one special little dog!!

she was such a timid thing...home after her spay!

not so timid anymore......can you say Psycho

She is soooo beautiful-i love her. I wish I could kiss her little face. I can just imagine how much joy she gives you.

After expecnsive vet bills, we always say, "Oh well, you have to figure cost per smile." When you figure it that way, it always seem like a bargain.

There are so many days that the only things that can make me laugh are my doggies. They have the ability to at least momentarily lift me out of my pain.
