Lipomas?
I was reading (as usual) multiple articles about neuropathy and its cases.
There's a possibility that has become interesting to me. I have multiple lipomas on my lower back. At least i think that's what i told they are. I discovered them many years ago, perhaps 5 and when visited the doctor i was told they were lipomas and that they were not needed to be removed. I have many lipomas in my body, one behind my right ear and another one, whose size has been dicreasing from what i remember, in my neck/ upper back, next to my thrid vertebra . And about at least three of four on my lower back. Now i am considering the possibility that these lipomas (the ones on the lower back), may be pressing some nerve and causing my neuropathy. I f i touch my back, right at the top of the pelvis, close to the sipne i can feel at least 3 lipomas that, from what i sense, may have a diameter 1 or 1.5 inches or so... I am just wondering if i should further regard this possibility and have the doctor check those lipomas? Thank you :) |
I would get it checked out...
Most doctors consider lipomas frivilous however.
But there is a possibility they are neurofibromas, and that should be checked out. Neurofibromatosis is a genetic disease and has several variants. Lipomas tend to occur along tendons, or in the surface areas of the skin. I don't know if they would be deep enough to compress nerves. I'd go to a neurologist or dermatologist. |
2 of my dogs have lipomas.
one has a quite large on on one shoulder. the other younger dog has a very large one on the front of her chest. It looks just like a breast implant LOL:D a mono boob. Vet said to keep an eye on it but it grew quite fast as she gained weight, now it's too big to remove per vet. I would have your dr look at them just to note the size and verify, if dr hasn't noticed them before. |
Thank you all. I'll have them checked. I am a bit concerned about them. I don't think it is normal to have lipomas, no matter how innocuous they are, they shouldn't be there. Besides they are not placed somewhere the could look as a boob implant if they grew :D... So no advantages from them...
Thank you all |
