making an oval picture?

I have a pic of my Mom that she wants to use on a document I'm making. she wants it oval. Can I do this? How?

G'day doydie, how are you doing?

I'm sure there are other ways, but the only way I know of making the oval shape is with Microsoft Picture It! Photo 7.0 (that's the one I have, but I've not used it yet). I need to go test it out later to see how it works. Do you happen to have Picture It!?

Edited to add: Yes, I found some oval frames in there but am not sure how it all works yet. Never used it before. I think it's part of Works Suite.

Most photo editing type of programs will work.
do you have one already?

If you have MSWord there should be a picture or photo editing section??
I used it for adding a photo, cropped it to oval also, for my parents 50th anniversary invites. It was a bit confusing tho.

a free one - pretty easy

That Picasa one looks pretty neat, Jo. Just having a look at it now. I didn't even realize I had the Picture It on my computer. It came with it already. The things you find, hey? It's so neat. Even makes labels LOL I should spend some time just investigating the programmes I have sometime. :)

As far as I can tell, I don't have MS word. It did come with Office.org and that's where my word processor is. I installed the Picasa and being computer illiterate as I am, I can't find where it is that I would make one of my present pictures oval.

oh gosh I'm sorry I could have sworn Picasa had oval cropping but I just checked and it doesn't.
let me look some more.

OK i found the one I was thinking of it has a oval crop that you can adjust as it is over the photo.

This is a trial program download {time limited}- but I used it before and did like it.
pretty simple and usable.
