super bowl commercials-get ready

about 3 minutes left before the 1/2time show of all those interesting commercials. Get your 3-D glasses ready...

DH and I are watching it live here in Australia. :D

It's the first time we've watched your football, so we don't really understand what we're looking at....... but we'll learn.

BTW. I loved seeing the Boss perform again. I saw him at a live concert here in Australia way back in 1976. I know..... some of you weren't even born then.

Okay!!! big problem with my 3d glasses.

Now these are over 10 years old. Maybe older. But I figured. 3D so they MUST work right?

Wrong!!

I put them on. I saw no difference. I have been to Disney world and saw their 3D show and the stuff comes at you like it's right in front of you.

This did not happen. I looked at my tv screen with and without the glasses and there was no difference.

Other times, when something is in 3d, well if you don't wear the glasses, and you view the screen, there is SOMETHING there.

This time, it was the same old tv programming.

Now did this happen to anyone else? Or is it my glasses.

Thanks Melody

I didn't notice anything different.

I kept putting on and taking off my 3D glasses.... paper ones. It all looked the same to me....

ALL of the commercials can be viewed again at www.hulu.com or www.nbc.com

In today's newspaper (The NY Daily News), it reviewed all the commercials, especially the 3D one.

Then it said "viewing 3D on your tv is not the same as going to a 3D movie. The images don't float in front of you.

So what on earth is the purpose of a 3D commercial??

lol

One of my favs was the men on the moon rapping. My other fav was Godaddy.

I loved the Doritos - Crystal Ball commercial! It was hilarious!

I think there were different commercials for different markets. We didn't have any godaddy commercials but we did have the careerbuilder.com one where the lady was beating her head against her steering wheel! And the one where the guy has the head of the moose on his wall and other guy has the behind on his desk! Funny.

Love the Budweiser/Clydesdale ones - I didn't know Daisy was dating! That was good!

We watched the 3-D commercials with the 3-D glasses the neighbor kids got somewhere and they worked great! Very innovative!

Teleflora's commercial was good too. The floral industry is worried this year (any year for that matter) when Valentine's Day falls on a weekend about sales. Valentine's Day falls on a Saturday so that means a drop in flower sales. This year with the economy sales are down anyway so it will hurt an already declining industry. Cute commercial! Talking flowers!

I finally figured out what the LMAO commercial was about! It took me awhile since I don't watch any of the TV shows they were promoting!

I think Budweiser always has the best! The Lizard one was cute about SoBe! Definitely an attention getting.

I think the best of all for creativity was Pepsi - the side by side comparison of the generations. Very good. We all agreed in our group who was watching the game. The age range at our group was from 25-60. (not counting the under 13 group who didn't pay any attention until the 3-D commercials were on!)

Coke was good too.

I think overall the commercials were good - not a bad one at all. Nothing any of us said yuck! One of the guys said I don't know whether to stay during the commercials or go get something to eat b/c of all the hype about SuperBowl commercials! He said after the game that he was glad he stayed. He hates commercials. Has TIVO for that very reason! LOL!

And the BOSS was great - we were afraid we weren't going to get to watch the halftime show! We were glad we got to. He was awesome!!! Glory Days!!! Great performance!!! :highfive:
