Chewie doing well

I realized I haven't really updated lately about my precious Chew. Knocking on wood as I say it, but he's doing quite well! He'll get his 30 staples out on Monday. He still is on antibiotics. The incision looks good.

He's eating his own food, still in little bits, but he is eating and using the potty box regularly and NOT vomiting at all. And those staples, I haven't seen him even one time bother with them. Doesn't tug or bite at them.

Definitely he's lost weight which he needs to do, but certainly not in this manner. :o

Now every single time I see even the smallest piece of lint on the floor I freak and pick it up.

Thank you again for all your support and prayers, they really helped.

Bruna was so very jealous of me taking pictures of Chew, I had to take one of her too. What a mug.

Doody, you promise....Chewie is not to floss any more. Brushing should be fine.

They both look like cutie pies.

that fat has a good use. The cat we had who had that dramatic surgery was big too.

Bruna looks more dismayed than jealous IMO! LOL
I can almost hear her~~ "Drat he came back" etc.:p

Thank you for the update Doody. I was wondering how Chewie was managing.

That's a cute photo of Bruna too. I really like that one. :)

Well, just got home from my vet awhile ago. Chewie moaned and cried as soon as I put him in my dog crate. LOL he doesn't fit in my cat crate.

As soon as we walked through the vet's door he became totally quiet and froze.

Diane, his assistant, held Chewie while doc took out the staples and admired his handiwork. But he is a talker and I listened to his story of how he really just was so worried that Chewie would make it after what all they went through.

I told him that Chewie hadn't bothered the staples at all to which doc replied with a laugh..."He's too dam fat to reach his stomach!"

I honestly think both doc and Diane believe his survival is nothing short of a miracle.

I told them...there was a lot of prayin goin on. :grouphug:

So glad to know Chewie is doing well. The photos help too, just to see him. I'd love to snuggle him (if he'd allow it!) Bruna does look a bit dismayed. Does she enjoy having her photo taken? How are the other cats doing?
