Hi I am new

My life changed dramatically after an accident in August 2007. The results of my MRI is follows- Spondylotic change shown thoughout mid to lower cervical spine, most marked at C5/6 for asymmetrical endplate osteophtosis results in severe narrowing of the neuroforaminal canal on right and moderate narrowing on the left. C5/6 shows disk space narrowing, disk degeneration, osteophyte formation and facet hypertrophy. In addition a moderate central disk herniation causing spinal cord impingement. The central canal is only 9mm across between C4 and C6. The neck pinced nerve at C6 nerve root has caused weakness and pain coming from neck, through shoulders, arms, wrist and going to thumb and fingers. As well as head, jaw, back and leg pain. Mylopathic signs including gait disturbances. Taking Lyrica, Tramadol, Arthrotec and Zipliclone. Done every "conservative" option available including a year of PT. Five sets of neck nerve blocks. Waiting for surgery, second opinion from NS- been in pain since 2007. So I really have tried almost everything and left hurt with not much improvement.

Hi 2blue, and welcome to NeuroTalk! This is a great place to hang out with lots of nice and helpful people who come by to read and post.:)

I'm sorry about all that you are going through, and I hope you get some relief from the second surgery. Meantime, maybe you can find some help here on the forums.
