Massage for Surgical Adhesions and Scar Tissue: A Case Study
This sounds quite interesting , might be helpful info for those that have scar tissue due to TOS, surgery or RSIs.
[By Don McCann, MA, LMT Weekly, I receive inquiries from massage therapists and potential clients asking for help with the pain they are experiencing from surgical scar tissue and adhesions. Scar tissue and adhesions can be effectively released. They had me do massage for my scar on my arm to break it down.
Hurt like heck to do it but glad i kept at it. My movement would have been restricted without doing the masssage. |
Thank you Jo*Mar. What an interesting article.
I saw a surgeon during the week and when he pressed on my tummy, I was extremely tender in the right iliac fossa, where my appendix used to be. He said the pain was most probably from adhesions, and I'm wondering if this massage might be helpful to me. If it worked, it would save me from another operation to free those adhesions. It's certainly food for thought. |
