Goldberg CN, MS and Ph.D. in Clinical Nutrition Dr. Goldberg is a veteran NBC5 on-air contributor and consultant to the Fitness Team. She is a clinical nutritionist with a private practice specializing in medically-related nutrition counseling and the treatment of eating disorders. Dr. Goldberg is also a breast cancer survivor. Sheryl Jedlinski and Jean Burns co-founded www.pdplan4life.com to inspire others to live well with Parkinson’s. The long distance girlfriends share humorous and not so humorous stories of their daily challenges with and triumphs over PD, and advocate for regular exercise and greater participation in clinical trials -— the only path to finding a cure. Dr. Lorraine Ramig, Ph.D., CCC-SLP is the developer of LSVT®, an efficacious voice therapy method for individuals with PD. A Senior Scientist at the National Center for Voice and Speech, she has an established research record in the areas of aged and neurological voice disorders. Dr. Ramig is also a Professor in the Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences at the University of Colorado, Boulder; and an Adjunct Professor at Columbia University, NYC. Dr. Michael Rezak, MD, Ph.D is the Medical Director of the Midwest Chapter of APDA; and the Director of the Movement Disorder Center and Movement Disorder Functional Neurosurgery Program; the APDA Center for Advanced Research; and the PD Early Detection Research Center, all at NorthShore University HealthSystem. Julie Sacks, MSW, LCSW is the Director of the APDA National Young Onset Center. Combining her background in social work and advertising, she is increasing awareness of and addressing the unique challenges of young onset Parkinson’s disease patients, their caregivers, and families.
