Moi, you knew I was going to just love these. Thanks for sharing the pictures. Looking at all of them provoked so many emotions in me but mostly just awe in what was artfully carved. Just amazing!

It is so sad these were all lost in the fires. As Alffe said, at least we have these pictures to remember by.

Wow...I hate to admit, but I've never seen these before! It has been about 10 years since I went to Marysville, even then, we (my ex and I) only passed through the town!:o
So sad to know that they have all been wiped out in the fires!:(

I'd never been to see the carvings in the forest, but I had seen them in an email a while back. Another tragic loss from the bush fires. :Sob:

Twink...... Australia is usually lush and green given normal weather conditions. We have more rain forests here than deserts.
