Results CT Angio

Hello!
It is an eternity that I posted in this thread.
Meanwhile I have got some more troubles, but today I want to share a result with you: I was in hospital to check up the Thoracic Outlet situation. In 2005 the angiography showed the compression between the clavicula, the first rib an the artery. Now in the CT Angio the compression is on the 2nd rib. The doctor said he sees it clearly but this is not usual.

So my question is: have you already heard about a TOS on the 2nd rib????

I thank you for answers and wish you a good day!
Greetings!!

Did you have the first rib removed?

Good to hear form you:grouphug:

Thank you for your answer.
No, I haven`t got my first rib removed.

My surgeries concerned my right shoulder and the last one was a pectoralis-major transfer. But the doctors don`t see a relation between the problems of TOS and the shoulder.

Nice to be here again! :-)
Greetings
Barbara

Here's a page that might help you figure it out.
http://home.comcast.net/~wnor/thoraxves&nerofwall.htm

Another thing is not all of us have everything in the exact same place.
like the nerves & blood vessels could be a little bit different from the norm.

Tam had double veins? wrapped around the nerve - pr something like that.

thank you

jo*mar - thank you for the link - it`s very interessting!

that`s right, we are all different and so TOS can have several "faces".
I will continue my way with doctors, treatments,.....

Thank`s for the support,
Barbara

thx for posting

good to hear from you. i have heard of things in the wrong place. such as appendix. is the brachial bundle (nerve & blood vessels) between rib 1 & 2? ouch.

Edelweiss 03-10-2009 01:36 PM

beeing different

hello tied,
the compression is between the 2nd rib an the end of the collarbone. but it seems, that the anatomy in this area is a mess - and now I will have to train my trapezius-muscle to lift the upper thorax area.

I also heard about things in the wrong place, but I didn`t care....and now I am concerned  this is not funny!

Wish you all the best,
Barbara
